The Infamous Mobb Deep have been around since their 1st release Juvenile Hell.
Since that young debut, they have blessed us with The Infamous, a bomb by any standard, Hell on Earth, which was #1 on the charts. Their 4th CD, Murda Muzik, was released on August 17, 1999. I say it is just as tight as all their other joints. It was certified platinum and included the Quiet Storm Remix, considered by many to be one of the biggest hits of 1999.
The group consists of Prodigy and Havoc. They claim the Queensbridge section of Queens New York although it is well known that Prodigy is from Hempstead, Long Island. They actually met at a high school in Manhattan. They have produced songs with Nas, Raekwon, CNN, their partner, Big Noyd and many others. Prodigy released H.N.I.C. on November 14, 2000. Though it is a solo effort, it features Havoc and the group insists that they haven't split. Lyric Selector contains some Mobb Deep songs which you wanna check out. OHHLA has a more complete catalogue of lyrics. |

| I say nobody has a better discography of Mobb Deep's work than this one which I have compiled. I was lucky enough to be in New York on New Year's Eve 2000 and I picked up a tape called "The Best of the " Infamous starring Mobb Deep" by DJ Mister Cee. I have the playlist in my discography. There are a couple of unreleased joints on there so check it out! |
