A few facts about A Different World:

Tupac Shakur, along with numerous notable names, appeared on Different World. Tupac played Piccolo and appeared in the sitcoms final season.
Though the organizations of the NPHC were represented in the series, the series created a fictitious sorority and fraternity for the kids of Hillman to join. Whitley and Kim were members of Alpha Delta Rho and Ron was a member of Kappa Lambda Nu. Interestingly, the ladies of Hanging with Mr. Cooper were also members of Alpha Delta Rho and wore the same letters and colors on that series.
